Wedding Themes – Designer Wedding Planner
Today I am pleased to share with you Part Two of a very special styled shoot, created by Shola Adedayo The Designer Wedding Planner.
This unique style shoot was two-fold using 5 models, about 20 professional top of their game suppliers and showcasing two different cultures – Couture English and Couture Nigerian styles. This Opulent Style Shoot was carried out at the stylish Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge with the backdrop of the Shard in London. Working with Ian Stuart Couture Bridal Gowns and Event Decor Hire Venue Stylists, the team were able to capture 2 really different contemporary, stylish and yet opulent style shoots.
The 1st was showcasing the gowns from Ian Stuart’s collection. with cakes, table decorations, huge creative floral designs and up and coming jewellers and photographers.
The second styled shoot featured our models in traditional Nigerian bridal attire and showcasing the lovely features of the grand ballroom, the couture Chiavari Chairs from Hire Chiavari Chairs.
Today we are featuring the Couture English, so it’s over to Shola to explain more about the inspiration behind this shoot…
The inspiration for the styled shoot was to create an opulent yet contemporary look – anyone can do a styled shoot, but can everyone pull off getting the cream of the crop in couture designers and specialists’ suppliers to come to the table for the event? I was about to find out.
Not having much time, as I was also working at the same time, this feature needed me to ask favours of the people who I can now count as friends and who I totally respect as being professionals who only work well by being the best they are in this game of weddings we all love. I wanted the styled shoot to be something unique and definitely couture whilst being contemporary.
Really, my job is to create a unique experience through choice of decor, logistical planning and getting the desired effect of the theme. In a styled shoot, I am creating an honest personal visual experience for my brides and readers.
At an event, I am creating a tangible live experience for the guests. These both involve particular attention to detail, the willingness to think and be creative outside of the box and the strongest wish to surprise and impress the bride and groom.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the suppliers were wonderful and giving of their time and expertise and we worked together well to achieve the common goal of showcasing our professionalism and love of the bride and groom.
