Today we have a lovely Coombe Lodge wedding film from Andrew McCabe Films. The wedding of Parry and Paul took place at Coombe Lodge, North Somerset. The lodge is the former home of the Wills family. It is built of Bath stone with a Cotswold stone roof. Coombe Lodge is set among 15 acres of grounds, banks and woodlands. It enjoys spectacular views over Blagdon Lake from some of its twelve luxurious bedrooms.
Coombe Lodge Wedding Film
Parry and Paul chose Bristol Wedding Videographer Andrew McCabe Films to film their wedding.
Parry prepared for her wedding day in the bridal suite.
The light gave us some wonderful moments for wedding videography. it left Parry with a priceless record of one of the most unique and exciting parts of a bride’s day.
Parry and her bridal party enjoyed champagne and chocolates while professional make up artists and hair stylists prepared them for the Groom and guests awaiting them downstairs.
Parry and Paul were married in a tasteful and touching civil ceremony conducted in Coombe Lodge’s Music Room.
The party then moved to the intimate surroundings of the Music Room, where a traditional Persian Ceremony was conducted for the couple. Afterwards the was transformed into Parry and Paul’s dining room. The light once again played host to some exquisite details.
The guests soon filled the dining room and before us unfolded some of the most touching and captivating wedding speeches and toasts we have ever witnessed. The Bride’s father Hass gave a once in a lifetime explanation of their choice to name their daughter Parry. While her nephew Josh stole the show without saying a word via an awesome anecdote from the brides brother.
In response to a heartfelt speech from her Groom, Parry soon burst into song. Accompanied by a string quartet she did a live rendition of At Last by Eta James.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Parry expertly summed up not only the couple’s journey so far but also their journey together to come.
Parry and Paul’s Wedding and Wedding Film was a joy to behold. It was an honour to produce and a pleasure to share with you.
Congratulations Parry and Paul.
So you want to get married. You just haven’t got round to planning ANYTHING or save any money. How would you feel if your other half actually arranged a surprise wedding? A wedding that someone else planned for you from start to finish. Moved? Touched? A bit miffed? Delighted? In today’s wedding film Christina had no idea she was getting married. She thought she was modelling for a bridal shoot. This is good, as she at least lad a gorgeous dress and hair and makeup done. How peed off would you be if you were looking like a tramp while your surprise guests were dressed to the nines?
It certainly takes the hassle out of wedding planning and leaves the marriage to do the talking.
In a couple of weeks I’ll be sharing a wedding that was planned in just 3 weeks. It can be done people!
Your wedding entertainment can make or break the atmosphere of your wedding. I have witnessed some truly awful wedding entertainment, resulting in me hiding in the toilets to get away from the racket, but have also seen some fabulous DJs and bands that have had the audience partying into the early hours. So here are just a few things to consider when choosing and booking your wedding entertainment.
Decide on the ambience you are looking for from your wedding entertainment. Do you want chilled, party time, sophisticated, fun, wild, understated. You can then pick your entertainment AFTER that decision has been made. You may opt for different forms of entertainment at different parts of the day, so string quartet when canapes are being served, acoustic guitar during the ceremony and a swing band after the wedding breakfast.
Make sure your venue is equipped for your chosen entertainment in terms of size, electricity output and acoustics. Some venues have a noise level limit, so that the sound system will trip if it reaches that limit. The last thing you want is for your entertainment to be abruptly stopped in this way. Also, you may want a 20-piece orchestra but if you only have a small room, then you may have to scale things back a bit.
Whether you are having a string quartet, DJ, duo or full wedding band, make sure you have seen them live before you book them.
The last thing you want is that they don’t live up to your expectations on your wedding day. Best to find out well in advance so you can make other arrangements.
Today’s Friday film showcases just how a good wedding band can transform your wedding day into something truly memorable and entertaining for every one of your guests. Of course not everyone will be lucky enough to have maroon 5 crash your wedding party but with a little thought and forward planning you can ensure that your wedding entertainment gives you a night to remember….
So today we have a lighthearted film with an underlying serious message. If you have yet to choose your wedding photographer, then there are a few basic things to consider. Remember that after your wedding day is over, the only things you will have left is each other, your rings, and your photographs.
Whether you are a poser or HATE having your picture taken, there is a wedding photographer out there for you, There are loads of things to consider but here are the big three….
1. Cost – always get the best you possibly can. You will never regret spending more on your wedding photographer, but you may regret going cheap.
2. Style – make sure you check out your photographer’s style of photography by insisting on a pre wedding shoot. This ensures you know how your photographer will interact with you and your guests. You will see how you and your photographer get on, personality wise. You’ll also see whether you like the resulting images.
3. Quality – Peruse REAL wedding in REAL wedding albums, so you can see a wedding photographed from start to finish, not just the photographer’s best images. decent wedding albums cost a lot. This is not the photographer putting a massive mark up on the wholesale cost. A wedding album will allow you to see how the photographer’s images look in print and also how they design an album to tell a wedding story.
There are loads of wedding photographers out there. Some have big brash personalities like the one in the film below, and that may suit your style perfectly, BUT if you were looking for an unobtrusive style of wedding photographer who would blend in with your guests, you hadn’t met this photographer in advance and he turned up…?????
I’ve nicknamed this photographer “The Crane” -completely bonkers. What sort of wedding photographer are you looking for and have you got any more essential advice to help others choose?
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, in the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland……
So we recently featured a beautiful festive styled shoot-cool white and ice blue, with snowflakes, Swarovski crystal bouquets and lots and lots of snow. With a special interview with their events team sit back and enjoy….
